I have taught second grade as both a long term substitute and permanent teacher for 2 years. I continue to learn each and every day and absolutely LOVE teaching second grade!
After my student teaching, I have tried diligently to create a "hands-on" teaching style which will provide students the opportunity to learn while having fun. I am always on the hunt for new center-style activities to try and have taken the time to create my own as well. As most teachers know, an engaged student is a learning student.
I graduated Cum Laude from Fitchburg State University on the Dean's List.
After graduating from high school, I attended Fitchburg State University for 4 and a half years to attain my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in mathematics. Currently I am in the process of applying for graduate school to receive my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Teaching.
I am 25 years old and have always wanted to be a teacher. In my childhood spare time, I would play school by myself and spend my allowance on school workbooks to use. Teaching has always been my passion! I have taught Sunday School at my church since I was 17 and continue to do so. It was my first true teaching experience which helped me to fall in love with the profession.
