Currently I am pursuing my graduate degree in Mathematics Education (K-12). I love creating math curriculum products to make math more accessible to teachers and students and I appreciate your feedback!
I want my students to enjoy learning. I try to engage them as much as possible. I want them to walk out each day having learned something new while also having a curiosity about something new. I emphasize concepts and experiences in my classroom, not memorization or drill.
I was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow.
I was voted Teacher of the Month at Wolf Meadow in February of 2012.
I led professional development for New Teachers in August of 2014.
I was voted STEM Teacher of the Month at JN Fries in November of 2014.
I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree at UNC-Wilmington in Elementary Education and Middle School Math.
I am currently a graduate student at NC State.
I absolutely love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, cats and Seinfeld (in that order!).
