TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My experience has varied over the past five years, but I feel that I've finally found my niche. *First grade ESOL support class, teaching reading, math, writing, social studies, and science. *First grade ESOL reading support teacher, teaching students who are considerably below grade-level and learning the English language. *Fourth grade teacher, teaching reading, math, writing, and science. *Third grade teacher, teaching reading, math, writing, and science.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Standards and research based; progressive; student-centered

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My students think I'm the best teacher ever. ;)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from the University of Central Florida after four years of hard work, earning a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, with endorsements in reading and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

After having navigated the rough years of being a new teacher, I've seen a need for resources to support the Common Core Standards that give students an extra opportunity to practice and apply what they've learned. I've also felt the need as a teacher to find resources that are of high quality, built with the standards in mind, and extremely affordable. My personal goal is to dive deeper into the standards myself and share what I discover.
