TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a first and third grade teacher for many years. First grade is my very favorite. It where the foundation of all the other grades is built and a lot of growth is seen. I have worked with children with dyslexia and am Wilson certified. I have taught a workshop for parents at my school for parents of struggling readers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I modifiy for my students, using multi-modal learning. I use highlighters and I use pictures to help my students learn. I also use singing and music videos to help my students understand key concepts.

I have been in honors during my education degree at Hofstra University.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelors in English literature from my undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware. I have two masters degree. I have one in literacy and the other in education.
