- Grades 9-12 English and ESL in Kashechewan, ON - LTOs in Grades 5, 6, and 8 - 3.5+ years in Grades 1/2 - 2 years in SK/1 - 2 years in Ontario Kindergarten - several ESL programs for Queen's University School of English - participated in a collaborative inquiry (supervised by our literacy consultant) focusing on the impact of explicit phonics instruction on reading and writing scores/fluency

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am becoming more inspired by natural, Reggio Emilia, inquiry-based learning, and technology-integration. My classroom integrates expectations of self regulation, kindness, and social justice. I believe in focusing on student work - not on cute clipart (also, it keeps them focused on completing the learning task). See more about my teaching journey at http://misslaidlaw.blogspot.ca/.
