TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 5th year teaching in Flagstaff, AZ. I started my career as a paraprofessional in grades 3rd through 5th. After that, I worked as a Middle School Math Interventionist. This is where I discovered my passion for teaching math! I have been teaching 4th grade for three years and I fell in love with it. It is the absolute best age full of students with opinions, wit, and the excitement for learning.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a Whole-Brain Teacher who believes in the ability of movement and repetition in lessons. When students are using their whole brain to learn and teach their peers they are involved in their learning. When I use Whole-Brain teaching techniques, I have more fun. When I have more fun while teaching, so do my students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Teacher of the Year at WUSD 2013-2014.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology. I am set on going back to school for my Masters in Administration.
