Students LOVED this activity. Sheets are differentiated for different year levels with both formal and informal measurement used. Let students hunt around the room or outside. It was a very engaging lesson.
Worded problem cards of addition and subtraction sums. I have used pictures to help students visually and have varied levels of sums. I have included sums that require different strategies to add/subtract. E.g, tens facts, doubles, near doubles

List of synonyms for the words I find are most overused by students. In the classroom I have used these laminated and on a ring so students can use them at anytime during writing and flip through them.
These reflection sticks have sentence starters on them for students to follow. There are also supportive pictures on them for the younger years. I give them to my students at the beginning of a lesson so they can think about it during their learning
