TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am going on six years teaching special education and general education in K-12. I have been certified in teaching the Orton-Gillingham program for three of those years, and recently became a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner, recognized by the International Dyslexia Association.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that co-teaching and collaboration with the classroom teacher and parent(s) is the only way to ensure success for the struggling reader. Students need to be taught and use consistent, data-tested strategies in all areas of learning to promote true progress.
