TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my fifth year teaching, and I LOVE what I do! Yes, the days are long. Yes, the questions and redirections seem endless at times. Yes, the clothes are forever stained with paint or fumbled Expo markers. Yes, I love ALL of what I do. :)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I facilitate a structured, collaborative classroom that focuses on student-centered learning and really emphasizes the importance of leadership in the Intermediate grade level that I teach. Classroom community is an enormous piece of my teaching style, and I am proud of the thoughtful, respectful, and considerate students that work together to make our classroom great.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am currently working on my National Board Certification. Outside of this, I graduated Cum Laude and on the President's List from Washington State University.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

As mentioned, I graduated with an Elementary Education Bachelor's Degree from Washington State University. During my time at WSU, I also earned an Endorsement/Minor in Reading Instruction. Currently, I am in the final stages of completing my Master's Degree in Instructional Technologies from Western Governors University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

As mentioned, I am currently (and insanely, to be quite frank...) completing my Master's degree AND my National Board Certification in the same year. Needless to say, while I am EXCITED to begin posting my work on TPT, I will also not have much time to actually actively add things onto my page until I make it out of this tornado of a year! Stay posted :)
