I am a native of Arizona and taught 3rd grade in Laveen, AZ. I hold an M.Ed. from Arizona State University's iTeach program. This graduate program enabled me to intern in various grade levels prior to my teaching career began. I have student teaching experience in Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 3rd Grade and 7th/8th Grade Language Arts. Currently, I am traveling and substitute teaching in various states. My substitute teaching experience ranges from Preschool to 12th Grade.
I consider myself to be a delegator, I tend to place the control and responsibility for learning on my students. I often give students a choice when it comes to their learning. I like my students to work independently or in groups and maintain motivation and focus for complex projects. I enjoy watching my students effectively work in group situations and manage various interpersonal roles. Technology is almost always integrated into our learning, I want my students to enter the real world with superb communication skills both online and face to face. My ultimate goal as a teacher is to prepare my students for the world and its constant change.
