Great for using as a class a bulletin board. Students write down ideas of ways to be kind and write on the template. I recommend checking them over to try and eliminate duplicates and then having them rewrite it on a construction paper heart.

Students arrange and rearrange the word "hundred" to make other words and record on template. I recommend making enough copies of the last page (the word hundred) and either pre-cutting and putting in baggies or pre-cut so each student gets one

This is an activity I use for Open House at the beginning of the year (or conferences) to get parents to attend. I tell the students the week prior that there will be an estimation jar at the event with prizes (often just tickets or pencils, etc.)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught first grade this year and taught second grade for five years prior! I have had experience teaching kindergarten and first grade summer school as well. And student taught in third & fourth grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Though not the best singer in the world, I enjoy music and try to incorporate song and dance into learning experiences to engage students. If nothing else, I at least incorporate humor into my lessons by ATTEMPTING to sing and dance! Luckily my technology skills are better than my singing voice. I find that with today's generation, students NEED to have access to technology in the classroom so I use it as much as possible. I support Whole Brain Teaching strategies as they have been a life saver for me!
