I have taught Spanish 1-4 in high school settings. I had several long term positions in my area for several years before getting into my current teaching position where I teach 8th grade exploratory Spanish, conversational Spanish, Spanish 1 and Spanish 2.
I feel it is important for the students to use and hear the language that they are learning. Without these, the students will not fully succeed. I like to introduce new vocabulary through choral repetition (even though my older students are not to keen on that haha). I incorporate reading, writing, speaking and listening as much as I possibly can daily. I love to play review games to help master things like new vocabulary or grammar.

I graduated from Kutztown University of PA in 2012. I spent in a semester in Valladolid Spain and attended La Universidad de Valladolid while there. I have my bachelors degree in Secondary Education with a concentration on Spanish. I am currently working on my masters degree in ESL.
I love to travel and I am trying to put the travel bug into my students. I am taking 21 students to Spain this year where we will take a 10 day trip exploring the Northern part. Hopefully this is something that can happen every two years as there are so many Spanish speaking countries that the students can visit. I also love to sit on the couch with a coffee and a good book, walks with my dogs, playing with my son, camping and knitting/sewing.
