I started working in education as a long term substitute teacher which inspired me to get my masters in childhood education, special education, and a graduate certificate in bilingual education. During that time I tutored, was an assistant teacher at a Montessori preschool, and worked as a full time teaching intern where I was in charge of social studies unit planning and instruction. After graduating I got so lucky and found a teaching that combined all my interests, passions, and experience. I began working as a lead teacher at a dual language school teaching diverse students in creative ways. I started with third ela and science and then transitioned to fourth and fifth Spanish language arts and this year will continue with Spanish and start teaching science.
Culturally responsive, student centered, hands on, authentic experiences, arts integration.
