I have been a science teacher for over 11 years. I taught middle school science for 7 years in Pennsylvania. I then moved to NYC where, for the past 4 years, I have been an on-set teacher/tutor for students in theater, television, and film productions. During my years as a teacher in PA, I also enjoyed being the advisor for the Academic Bowl teams as well as choreographing the middle school musical each year.
My teaching style is simple. I love to find creative ways to connect with my students -- ways that encourage them to consequently connect with the material I am teaching them.
I was given the honor of being affectionately dubbed "Miss Stamm 2 the Jam" by my students. :)

In my seventh year of teaching 8th grade Earth Science, I wanted to find a unique way to connect with my students, and I knew just the way to do it—through music. Integrating music into the classroom made it fun for students to learn new material as well as review old material. I truly found it to be the most effective way to educate and engage my students. After I created my first (and currently only) CD,“Imma Natural Disasta,” and began incorporating the music into my lessons, I saw a significant improvement in my students' test scores. To me, the power of music in the classroom is undeniable. I realized that the relationship between education and music is not supplementary — it is essential. I hope that one day, students everywhere will be learning science through music!
