TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have teaching experience with students ages 3-18 from the time I was in middle school, extensively volunteering in classrooms, co-directing show choir camps, giving private lessons, working with students with special needs and getting involved in anywhere I could. I received my undergraduate degree in Choral Music Education from North Central College and am certified to teach K-12 Music. I completed practicum experience at Edgewood Elementary School (Darien, IL), Cowherd Middle School (Aurora, IL) and Benet Academy (Lisle, IL), and my student teaching experience also at Cowherd Middle School. After graduating in January 2013, I did a long-term substitute teaching position in General Music and Choir at Jefferson Middle School (Villa Park, IL), and currently teach at George Washington Middle School (Lyons, IL). Here I direct two extracurricular choirs and 3 grade level general music courses that I have developed 3 unique, creative, collaborative classrooms for. I am excited to share my ideas!
