Colorful flowchart for student reference. I designed this for a student who was never quite sure whether to use gusta or gustan - especially when it came to multiple infinitives! Great for a poster or handout.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

MY TEACHING STYLE

As a teacher, I try my best to explain why Spanish works the way it does, if I think that an explanation might help students understand the language. For students with different learning styles, I try to explain or demonstrate in different ways until students show that they understand.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I started learning Spanish in high school, and found out that I loved the language and could teach it. During my college years at Chicago's North Park University, I continued studying Spanish, including two months in Ecuador and visiting Peru. Learning the language in an authentic setting gave me more confidence and practice in speaking Spanish. I hope to visit more Spanish-speaking countries one day.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm a first-year teacher covering a one-semester maternity leave, teaching Spanish 2 and 3 at the high-school level.
