I have taught high school social studies for 10 years. I briefly worked in a middle school setting but mostly have taught World History, Geography, Government, and Economics.
I use a variety of teaching strategies and tend to love to use different types of media either with my students or have my students using various forms mediums to create their own multi-media projects. I also use guided readings and notes in class, films, DBQ's and newspaper projects. I like to have a mix of teacher and student centered learning.
I am still working my way up the ladder in life. My award in life is my children, the roof over my head, and the food in the pantry.

I was born in a small, rural town in western Oklahoma. I spent part of my life also in San Antonio, TX where I found a love for all things Texan. I spent some years in Michigan and Alabama as well and now finally call Georgia home. I have a great love for reading, cooking, swimming, and American muscle cars. I look forward to enrolling in a Ph.D. program or Law School a little later down the road. I have 2 great kids who manage to inspire me every day to be a better teacher, mom, and citizen. I have recently started getting personally involved in the world of politics. I never set out to be a teacher initially but now can not imagine a better career.
