TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started my teaching career as a founding teacher at a middle school designed specifically for innovative instruction, leadership development, and college preparation, and it's where I have continued to grow and learn as an educator! I am currently a 5th grade math teacher, but work to meet the needs of all my little mathematicians! I love reading about math, working on math resources, and doing whatever I can to make math engaging and connect to life outside of the classroom!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Math makes me so excited! Everything about it... the patterns, the connections, the way it builds on what you already know. Everyone can learn and love math! If you were to come into my classroom, you would see students "experiencing" math rather than simply "learning" it. I love watching my students investigate, explore, and question. Growing confidence and a love of math (and learning in general) inside each and every one of my kiddos is why I teach :)
