I have worked with children for almost 20 years and have children of my own. I am a believer in teaching children to think for themselves and do not like the spoon feeding approaches to education. I think that we have a duty to make learning fun and should aim to enthuse our children in their learning every day. Inclusive learning means a lot to me too. It is hard work but I think it also possible to 'have a life' as a teacher if we work smart. I am always open and willing to try new ideas and I love to share so I hope that other teachers find some of my materials useful to use.

I had excellent, interesting teachers all my life. I was one of the lucky ones!
I always wanted to be a teacher and swore that I would not work in an office to my mother. Little did I know I would be a teacher and also have an office job on top of working with the children-LOL! That was just to teach me not to give cheek to my mother! And the moral was...Mothers always win...even when they don't try to. ;-)
