I currently teach high school French in the Midwest and am passionate about all things French. I have organized a high school exchange or taken students to France since 2007. I have taught French for the past 20+ years from 6th grade (Exploratory French) through the college level, but mainly I teach French III, IV & V (dual-college credit) to high school students.
I try to teach all the skills reading, writing, listening & speaking with an emphasis on interpretive & interpersonal skills. I want students to be able to use the language for personal gain, travel, continued studies at the university level, business & life-long learning. I have most of my students for two to three years and get to know them fairly well, thus I try to instill a love of learning the language and culture in a convivial classroom atmosphere.
