TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My name is Nicole Kelley and I have been an ELA teacher for over 15 years. The majority of my experience is in high school. I also have experience creating curriculum for districts. I took a one year leave from the classroom during the 2014-2015 school year to be a District Teacher Leader so that I could help other teachers with curriculum.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to engage my students. I try to make each lesson hands on and entertaining in any way I can. I build each lesson around standards and incorporate lots of writing and real world experience.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended SUNY (State University of New York) at Potsdam for Literature and Writing as well as Secondary English Education. I later went back for a Masters in Literacy Education.
