TEACHING EXPERIENCE

7th grade English Language Arts teacher since 2012. Interned in 9th grade English I. Student taught 11th grade English III and 12th grade Film Studies. Middle school girls book club/Bible study teacher for 5 years. 6th -12th grade youth group leader for 4 years. YouTuber since 2007. Actress since 2001.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Student-centered, interdisciplinary, standards-based, data-driven, creative, relevant, relatable, reading and writing workshop oriented.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was hired for my first teaching job during student teaching and began just three days after student teaching ended. I was also nominated for Teacher of the Year my first full year of teaching. I have over 30 trophies and medals for theatre performance and I have over 3,500 subscribers on YouTube.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an additional certification in Louisa Moats Literacy Instruction from American College of Education (2015). Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education: English from University of Missouri - St. Louis (2012). Associate's Degree from St. Charles Community College (2010).
