TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have ten years in a Montessori School, with nine years in an Elementary II classroom. My experience includes four years as an assistant and five years as a co-head teacher. For nine years I have served as head basketball coach, three years as a track and field coach, and two years as a volleyball coach. This past year I became the athletic director as well as the PE instructor for the whole elementary.

I have a Bachelors in Science in Exercise Physiology from University of Illinois. I would receive my EI and EII Montessori certification through AMS (American Montessori Society). Later I would receive a Masters in Montessori Education from St. Catherine's University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a competitive Powerlifter for the 15+ years. In college, I was a co-author for a study on exercise and arterial stiffness which can be found at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17468584. I have been a personal trainer for the past decade, and for my whole life I have been involved in sports.
