I have taught special education since 1994. During that time I have taught students with emotional/behavioral disabilities in public schools, built behavior programs in two schools where there was not program, worked at the Texas School for The Deaf for 6 years and was an Online resource teacher at a public virtual academy in Washington State. I have also been a public school special education resource room teacher.
Working with students with emotional/behavioral disabilities is my passion. I believe all students can make progress, learn and be successful. As a special educator my teaching style is student-centered, adjusting the environment and expectations to meet the students where they are, then supporting them to be and do their best.
