TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught at the university level for five years and secondary for twenty-four years. I was a licensed medical laboratory technician before becoming a teacher and have been an EMT since 1984. I have taught advanced placement biology, anatomy and physiology honors, and chemistry for twenty-four years. I have taught CPR/AED, first aid, and emergency response since 1989.

MY TEACHING STYLE

A combination of formal authority and demonstrator or personal modeling. I love science and love to get kids excited about learning.

I was part of the state of Tennessee curriculum content committee for several years. Teacher of month two years and recently nominated for teacher of the year at my school.
