TEACHING EXPERIENCE

1000 Petals LLC provides training and consulting based on the science and practice of mindfulness, movement and social emotional learning. We provide Move Mindfully® products, residencies, workshops, retreats and self care classes. We also provide Yoga Calm® Training and Certification. Move Mindfully practices are based off of the SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) Competencies. The SEL competencies are integrated with academic standards into mindful movements.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

• Kathy Flaminio, LGSW, MSW, E-RYT-200, is the founder of 1000 Petals and creator of the Move Mindfully program. • Kathy is the National Director of Training Development for Yoga Calm® and has guided over 30,000 professionals in training. Kathy has partnered with the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s hospital to provide trauma-informed yoga for the child/adolescent mental health and dual diagnosis units. She co-authored the Teen Resiliency Program with Dr. Henry Emmons as well as other physicians and psychologists. Kathy is adjunct faculty at Saint Mary’s University and is a frequent presenter both locally and nationally.
