I am always searching for new ways to develop myself and to help inspire and empower others to continue learning and working to improve their skills and discover their passions. My passion has always been communication and helping others develop and maintain relationships with others. When I was in high school (which I know looks like I still am, I promise I'm older than I look) I found my passion for communication by discovering American Sign Language and the Deaf Community. I set my sights on becoming a Sign Language Interpreter to help others make their day-to-day lives slightly easier and help them bridge the communication barriers that may present themselves. Long story short, in college I missed the Sign Language placement test and randomly picked something that I thought was similar; Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Come to find out, speech language pathology was not that similar to Sign Language, and why did no one tell me I had to go to grad school?! Either way, and six years of schooling later, I did discover a wonderful profession that I truly love and am passionate about. Everyday I get to go into work knowing that I am helping make a difference in children's lives by helping them communicate their thoughts and needs, and they and I have fun doing it! I was born, raised, and currently living in North-East Ohio, and enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and puppy.
