I started in education as a paraprofessional working exclusively with ELL students during my undergraduate degree, and developed a real passion for working with kids. I have taught fourth grade coming out of college, and have spent the past four years teaching sixth grade at Gilbert Public Schools, and LOVE it! I also just finished my Master's in Educational Leadership at Northern Arizona University, and am a certified administrator in the state of Arizona.
Everything that I do is hands-on!! I love the TRIBES program and use the Love and Logic principles to guide classroom management. I have had success in implementing both the Rigor, Relevance and Relationships framework into my teaching, as well as, Professional Learning Communities.
December 2009 KNIX/Fulton Homes Teacher of the Week; Nominated for Teacher of the Year 2009; Certificate of Recognition from the President's Council of Health and Fitness for my work on a program during my undergrad studies
Graduated from Arizona State University in 2008 specializing in Elementary Education; Master's Degree from Northern Arizona University in December 2011 in Educational Leadership.
