This will be my 5th year teaching Algebra. I've taught Algebra 2 and will be starting Geometry this year. I've used Standards Based curriculum and grading for my entire career. I'm a product of public schools and teach classes of 20-30+ with a diverse range of students, ability levels, and variables. I've used ALEKS and a ton of technology to support my pedagogy.
I like to give students opportunities to reach as high as they can, working on the big picture and then provide the procedural skills in the most condensed, effective way possible so we can spend more time using activities and seeing how math applies to other situations! My classes tend to be loud, messy, and hectic and I wouldn't want it any other way!

I am a huge advocate of SBG (Standards Based Grading) and Standards Based Learning. Students in math struggle to see value in the traditional model and often aren't successful. I live to get students who have lacked success to go above and beyond what they thought they were capable of, and I do!
