TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my fourth year teaching U.S. History I (1492-1890) at the Middle School.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that students need to interact with history using both primary and secondary sources to learn from the past. I work diligently to help students make connections between the past and present and understand how our world today is shaped by past events. I have also been trained in Learning Focused School techniques and have incorporated many LFS strategies in my classroom. I also use Project Based Learning and Authentic Instruction practices.
