Interactive, high pace Q/A, inviting of student involvement, inviting of the students as individuals. "That funny teacher you do not want to *[anger]." *Synonym substituted for more sophisticated word-choice. "Why did your students score 20% higher than [this other teacher] and I on the common assessment?" -- awkward conversation. Answer: Because my students will work for me. They practice the skill that is math and they are simply familiar with test content, no matter the level of difficulty. We practice harder stuff in class like it's rehearsal so that the standardized level is, well, cake.
