TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I student taught in kindergarten for a full year. Then, I spent my first two years of teaching in 4th grade. Now, I will be in 3rd grade for the 2020-21 school year! :)

MY TEACHING STYLE

As a teacher of color, I know the importance of accurate representation in school curriculum, something I didn't receive until I went to college. My experience influences my teaching style, in which I am an advocate for culturally responsive, culturally relevant, facilitative teaching with a focus on growth mindset and cooperative learning. With this, I also integrate anti-bias, anti-racist, and ethnic studies curriculum in my teaching as well. :)
