TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my tenth year teaching Middle school Social Studies. I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Social Studies. My area of specialty is 8th grade Social Studies. I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve as a facilitator of professional development for middle school Social Studies Teachers as well as new teachers in my district. I have also been blessed with the opportunity to participate in presentations at the Teaching and Learning Conference in Washington, DC the past two years.

I focus on teaching my students to analyze Primary Sources, Historical Thinking, Informational and Argumentative Writing and Project Based Learning.
