I have been teaching in the public school setting for 3 years. I teach 3rd grade in the state of Texas. I am extremely familiar with the STAAR Test and the strategies needed for student success. There are a variety of ways that students learn, and I enjoy differentiating my lessons to meet those needs.
I believe, like most other amazing teachers, that if children are moving, expressing, and creating- they are indeed learning. I like to cultivate an environment that makes my kids excited to come to class! I know it can't always be fun and games, so I try and challenge the students to be masters and experts in their own craft through enriching activities and lessons, incentivizing and affirming them in their successes along the way. The materials that I make in class should reflect their interests and learning styles as much as possible.
I have received Teacher of the Month twice at my current school district and I've had the local newspaper do a write up on my teaching style in the classroom:)
Attended to Cleburne High School in Cleburne, TX and Dakota High School in Macomb, MI. Graduated from Texas State University in 2014.
There's not always time in the day for planning differentiated instruction. My plan is to help the teacher by providing easily accessible materials that she/he can use over and over again in her classroom.
