TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a certified K-12 Special Education teacher, highly qualified in Math, English and History. I have spent the majority of my teaching experience working in integrated general education and special education Algebra and Geometry classes. I have been trained and design my lessons around the Common Core Standards. I have organized and run test prep for Connecticut State Exams and the Common Core Algebra and Geometry New York Regents Exams.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My lessons are designed to make math accessible for all students. Through the use of organization, students can focus on the core content and not become distracted by irrelevant information so I believe in the use of Cornell notes and guided notes. Additional, many of my projects offer differentiation, either based on skill level or interest as well as accompanied rubrics.
