TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching kindergarten-6th grade deaf and hard of hearing students for 12 years. My classroom changes a little each year depending on the numbers of students. I currently teach in a residential setting and have a busy classroom full of 5-7 year olds.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach using American Sign Language to communicate with my students. I believe in doing whatever it takes to problem solve and help my students to learn, first to communicate and secondly to conquer academics.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My most rewarding experience will always be teaching my students to communicate, and watching the excitement it brings when they learn that they can share their thoughts and feelings with others.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a masters degree in Deaf Education (birth-21) and a public education credential for k-8.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have spent my teaching career modifying the curriculum to fit the language levels and learning needs of my deaf and hard of hearing students. I have been there, and the struggle is real! I decided to put my experience and expertise to work. I create resources specifically designed for deaf students giving hardworking teachers of the deaf more time to do what they love.... TEACH! I adapt curriculum and add ASL elements for my students so you don't have to! Everything you've been searching for is right here in my store,
