TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Mrs. Domashinski is a graduate of Moravian College, in Bethlehem, PA, a private Christian liberal arts college, rich with tradition in education as well as music. While there she studied Clarinet with Dr. Chris DiSanto, Classical Piano with Dr. Debra Torok and Jazz Piano with Skip Wilkins. She has also studied clarinet with Karl Herman, and Dr. William Berz and piano with Sondra Tammam. While teaching and performing vocal music, she studied with Betsy MacKenzie-Stubbs and Kate Baker. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music with a double concentration in Jazz Piano Performance and Education, minoring in Clarinet and Classical Piano. Her Junior and Senior recitals included repertoire ranging from Bill Evans' Waltz for Debby to Brahms' Waltzes Op. 39 No. 1-4 on the Piano and the Poulenc Sonata on the Clarinet. She has earned her Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College as well. A "Jill" of all trades, she has taught music in the public schools in NJ since graduating in 1999. She has taught "everything but strings." Mrs. Domashinski has kept up with playing since graduating from college by playing with various community symphonic and "fun" bands as well as participating in her church music ministry at St. Benedict Catholic Church and School as time allows. Her favorite 'fun' band to play keyboards and back up vocals with, way before kids, is available for booking at Due South. She still practices piano and clarinet daily and is "always ready to perform," taking after her mentor teacher, Tom Mackoviecki, musician first, educator second, as best she can. In addition to her rich professional experience, her greatest works of art are her three children. Mrs. Domashinski has been married since 2003 and has 2 bright and beautiful daughters, and a handsome son. Becoming a mother has taught her many things, especially the gift that each child brings to those who have the privilege of being their caregiver.
