TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm in my 8th year teaching high school. This is my second year teaching Special Education. I'm teaching Vocational Transitions and Math. Last year, I taught English instead of Math. My previous 6 years were in math. I have experience teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Calculus. I've also coached volleyball and scholar bowl.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to make the most of every minute! I love to implement games and hands on learning activities as much as I can. I take a lot of pride in all that I do, and care deeply for my students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My math students consistently scored very well on state standardized tests. As a math teacher, I was named STAR teacher for one month (by students) and Teacher of the Week (by coworkers/administration).

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Southwestern Heights High School, Kismet, KS - Valedictorian; Evangel University, Springfield, MO - Outstanding Graduate of the Science and Technology Department

I'm a farm girl. My husband and I are Christians. I enjoy volleyball, tennis, bass fishing, gardening, being outside, baseball, and spending time with our son!
