This is my 26th year teaching. Currently I am teaching second grade, and I absolutely love it. I am so blessed with an incredible job where no day is EVER the same...no class is EVER the same...and no year is EVER the same. What a wonderful thing!!! There is NEVER a dull moment!!! :)
My teaching style is always changing based on the needs of my class...Right now I teach using the "workshop approach". It allows for differentiation...and individualized instruction.
Master's Degree in Reading
I attended Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. I have to admit that reading is my favorite subject to teach, so it was that that drove me to get a Master's Degree in Reading. Which I received at ISU as well.
I am a wife and mother of two amazing daughters. My two girls are completely different. I have one daughter that is on the high school dance team and loves every minute of it. My youngest daughter is very girly but involved in every sport that she can be. These young ladies keep my busy. Working out is another passion of mine...I actually taught fitness for over 20 years!
