I have taught the English component in PreK and Kindergarten at a Dual Language Magnet School that teaches in both English and Spanish.
I love planning out my week and knowing the content I aim to teach... Obviously! I know that we all have that obligation to get things prepared so that we can deliver the best quality lesson to our students. However, I understand that life happens... Especially with the younger kiddos! So while having the plans and materials prepared makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, I am not afraid to change a lesson that isn't working, to only read a book halfway through if those little eyes (and hands) from my students start wandering, to change my schedule to find optimal learning opportunities, and to throw in a few extra minutes of outdoor play when we (including me) just need some fresh air after a long day! Never fear, teachers, you are not alone! Plan, prepare, and then... ADJUST!

I am a mother of one beautiful little girl and I currently teach Pre-Kindergarten. I love creating my own classroom materials because I find that some of the things we are given as teachers do not necessarily seem to work in the real world... and in a real classroom. What I create is quality material that is practical, yet engaging. The little ones will not sit and listen to us lecture the entire day, nor should they have to! My goal is to make the classroom more engaging, products more realistic for teachers, and education more FUN for everyone involved!
