TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Over the last several years, I have taught in both brick and mortar schools, as well as in the virtual setting. I have taught in high-needs, public, and charter schools. I am currently living in California, but did my teaching career in Colorado. I'm sure that all of these lessons can be used in any state, but I know that they meet Colorado state standards.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I tend to lean toward more hands-on types of lessons. I feel that students learn better when they can manipulate things.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I started off in a private elementary school. In seventh grade, my mom decided to try homeschooling my siblings and I. It didn't last for very long. 3 months later, I was enrolled into a public middle school. I finished high school and went to The Ohio State University. I finished my schooling at University of Northern Colorado.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love teaching. That light that comes into a child's face when they finally understand something is why I do it. Although the frustrations occur, that light takes it all away.
