I am a reading specialist for a K-5 elementary public school. Previously, I taught first grade for 8 years and then taught fourth grade for half of a year before becoming the reading specialist at my school. I love what I do! It is truly a different day every day and I never know what to expect when I walk into "the office".
Brain-Based teaching and learning encompasses my whole teaching approach to learning . . . Eric Jensen rocks!

My undergrad degree is from the University of Delaware where I received my B.S. Education . . GO BLUE HENS! I received two masters degrees from Wilmington University: 1. M.Ed. Reading, and 2. M.Ed. Applied Technology. Now I am an adjunct instructor in the M.Ed. Teacher of Reading program at Wilmington University. I teach three different courses, one of which is Brain-Based Reading Instruction. . . my favorite! This course is taught online and the others are face-to-face. I also help with the online development of the courses. I'm one of the unique people that actually use all three of my degrees in my profession!
I'm happily married with a beautiful baby girl and a handsome 4-legged child.
