TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi! I'm Mrs. Kulenkamp and I have been an educator for over 10 years! I have worked with a variety of students from kindergarten to 8th grade. I have worked with students with a variety of academic, social, and physical needs and I love challenging students and watching them progress and grow while also having fun at the same time! I have been teaching for 10 years and I have been a "resource" teacher for 8 of those years. Over my teaching career I have taught kindergarten, first, fourth, and middle school aged students. At home I have three pre-K kids, so the fun never ends! I help differentiate lessons and activities for my students so they can access the grade level curriculum. My students often just need someone to explain what they are learning in a new or different way in order to understand the topics being taught.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am most excited and passionate about hands-on, inquiry and project based, interactive and technology centered lessons and activities. My students who are special needs often need more than just paper and pencil traditional teaching. These are kids who thrive on "out of the box" type learning activities that are engaging and help them grasp concepts that can be difficult.
