MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style utilizes Powerpoint to create lessons that are very clean, clear, and with graphics students from the back of the classroom can read. Each Powerpoint lesson includes animated examples which are presented to students in a step by step process. Examples are introduced in a procession from easy to hard making logical jumps students can follow. After each example is demonstrated the students are prompted to practice for mastery by doing multiple guided practice problems. I developed my own curriculum utilizing "best practices" I have developed from my own inspiration, educational resources, colleagues, and from professional development opportunities. Worksheets, warm-ups, foldables, games, portfolio activities, and inquiry based lessons are also used through out the school year in my classroom. Many of the schools I have worked at have given my lesson plans to new Algebra teachers.
