TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I hold a bachelor's degree and worked for twenty years as a print journalist. While home educating my children, I taught language arts at the elementary and secondary levels at a homeschool co-op for sixteen years. So happy to now be sharing some of the materials I developed for both my own kids and my co-op students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My main goal in any English language arts teaching endeavor is to get students to love reading and writing. If I accomplish that, everything else is gravy. Nothing warms my heart more than a student who tells me they hated English at the beginning of the year, but want to be an author by the end!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

* Amazon best-selling homeschooling author * Edited award-winning memoirs "Milk and Honey Land" and "Three Weeks to Forgiveness"

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor of Arts, Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University. Go Cyclones!
