I have been teaching English, Language Arts, and Reading for 8 years at the elementary level. Throughout my teaching career I have been to many trainings on teaching techniques and learning styles which have taught me how to best prepare lessons for the most effective delivery of instruction.
I am a strong believer on hands-on and interactive activities. I believe in teaching to engage students. Whatever the age may be, the best way to teach children to love learning is to make learning fun and memorable. Fun does not mean that it does not have to be challenging either; making activities challenging with a competitive twist is also an effective technique that I use in my classroom.
I was elected Teacher of the Year award for my campus my 4th year of teaching. I have earned Model and Master classroom consecutive years in a row by Renaissance Reading.
I am certified to teach EC-4th grade Bilingual and General Studies; 4th-8th grade English Language Arts, and Reading; Special Education EC-12th grade, and I have a Masters in Guidance Counseling.
