TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught ELL kindergarten 3 years in Metro Nashville Public Schools and I currently teach ELL K-6 for 2 years in Murfreesboro City Schools. I am a National Writing Project fellow.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to use hands-on activities and games to reinforce mini-lessons that I've taught my students. No matter the grade level, students need to be treated like kids and be encouraged to learn through fun activities that don't "feel like school". Being an ELL teacher I use a lot of visual resources and realia so that my students can explore the world in a variety of ways.
