I have taught Pre-K through 2nd grade in public schools and Christian schools since 1993. I also was an Educational Therapist from 2001 to 2003 for students kindergarten through 9th grade. I dearly love kids, teaching, and the creativity teaching allows me on a daily basis!
My teaching style is to develop activities where students are allowed to wiggle and stay active which, based on research and my own experience, engages the brain for much longer than requiring the students to stay sedentary. Games and stations keep students active and learning!
My honors include Teacher of the Year from my elementary school for 2013-2014 and the Distinguished Teacher designation from my school district since 2014.
I received a B.S. in Education and Speech Pathology from University of North Texas, training from National Institute for Learning Development, and an M.Ed. degree from Wayland Baptist University.
I am a Christian, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a daughter, a friend, a puppy parent, and a teacher that strives to maintain balance in my crazy-busy life! My wonderful husband tolerates my insane daily pace and never complains when I get inspired and work in the middle of the night on a new product for my students and for Teachers Pay Teachers!
