I'm currently in my 6th year of teaching World History, US History, and Economics at a College Prep Charter School.
My passion is student engagement! Every lesson I teach allows students to connect with the material in a meaningful way. It's important to me that students see the relevancy of history and economics to their own lives. Learning should never be passive; rather, it should challenge students as they develop skills and understand content over the course of the school year. I love when students take ownership for their own learning. In addition, I seek to foster empathy and compassion in my history classes for historical periods and persons.
