TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 7th grade for 12 years. I am certified in English language arts and social studies. I taught inclusion, regular, and AIG classes.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like hands on learning. I am good at finding the middle ground between student abilities, and raising or lowering the bar accordingly. I feel that it is important to meet children where they are at, and help them achieve more than they have in the past.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been nominated for teacher of the month at my school many times, and I graduated from college with honors. I also have the great honor of leading our new teachers as a mentor, and helping student teacher's who are trying to enter the profession. I love working with other teachers to improve education for all of our students.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Western Carolina University with honors. I also recieved my AIG certification from the same institution.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a mom, a wife, a teacher, and a coach. I am a busy lady, and I understand that we all need to make our lives easier and more efficient. That is why I am a part of Teachers Pay Teachers. I am here to share what I am doing with all of you, so that we can work together to make our lives just a little less complicated.
